A LITTLE ABOUT NORLYNNE
Norlynne Coar is a renowned artist whose creative energy extends across multiple mediums, including paintings, photography, unique prints, and clay sculpture. With a lifetime of experience and honed skills, Norlynne creates visually stunning and emotionally evocative art that explores themes of nature, space, and the infinite. The work often explores the infinite, circular process of creation and destruction.
Growing up on the California coast, Norlynne has a strong affinity for the ocean, waves, sky, and horizon, which recur often in her work. In Taos, where she now resides, the sky is her ocean, and the clouds are her waves.
Her professional journey as an artist began in 1985, working with art consultants and dealers in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her work has been widely collected, commissioned, and installed in venues from private residences to public spaces.
Norlynne's work has been widely exhibited in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Taos, and Santa Fe galleries, as well as major international art shows. Her art has been featured in various press outlets, including CBS, NBC, FOX, and USA Today affiliates, as well as the Taos News, Taos Magazine and the Hermosa Beach Easy Reader.
In addition to her fine art, Norlynne has ventured into filmmaking and produced three surfing documentaries on film. She continues to create short video pieces for artists and events.
